Where's the Backstage News telling us all how it's done?
And a list of the websites she's "researched" so "thoroughly" please.

Some of us are still holding out hopes that she might change her mind before the appointment, so maybe that's why we haven't got the details yet.

I bet you it's some where within my city limits, or, failing that, near my by-pass .
I hope there'll be a proper answer not just a repetition of DtA.

Well, the proper answer is that she hasn't been to a clinic yet. And as to the research... well, it's open to interpretation how much research she has done, and as it's a fictional programme, she might have visited fictional websites (as she's likely to attend a fictional clinic if she gets that far). If you want to see real websites on this subject, I'm sure they'd be easy to find via a search engine.
Or is your question really 'why isn't there a backstage news article on this, given that there was one on Annette's abortion?' That is a different question.

With accompanying pictures of a pron (anag) mag, a little sample cup and a turkey baster?

Assuming you meant Porn Mag, what an unpleasant message. I am a single parent and have two children conceived through Artificial Insemination.
I can assure you that such a decision has nothing to do with turkey basters and pornography, and I think that the script writers are doing a good job (so far) of explaining the decision making process that any woman would have to go through.

I'm glad you've had two children through AI, JET, but I don't think most of us would have found catwomyn's message "unpleasant".
Fact is, whatever serious subject is being discussed in a light-hearted way (because it concerns characters in a radio soap), there are always going to be people for whom a particular story touches a nerve.
Best to skip past that thread if something offends you (as long as it doesn't break the House Rules, of course).
Sorry if this sounds like I'm being one of those posters who tells others what they should or shouldn't post about; that is not my intention.
Just trying to put a light-hearted post into perspective.

I guess most donors must require a copy of the Radio Times, rather than anything so crude as a porn mag. Still want to know why a turkey baster is the tool for the job though, rather than a normal chicken or beef-rib baster.

Can't answer that one, Mustafa.
(addendum to my previous post: I thought I was in DTA, which tends to be more light-hearted than N&Q; but I still don't think catwomyn's post was "unpleasant".)
Thanks Lemon. Lighthearted indeed, and no less tasteful than many posts in DTA. I thought I had it on good authority (er, well, I read it in a magazine once) that porn mags were supplied at sperm clinics to help the process along... thought it a bit unhygienic meself, but there you go...

I suppose procreation by any means is a bit unhygienic, really!
Anyway, it will interesting to see what, if anything, appears on the front page.

S N O R K ! !
Mustafa.
I have, and have mentioned them in DtA, but when they have an ishoo like this one there's usually a backstage article.
I wonder if they have not yet put up a backstage article because its content would give away future plot.
Surely they could write an article based on the experience of one woman who's had a baby that way and another who's been rejected and another who's tried and failed, leaving all their options open?
If say, clinics have a shortage of sperm because of the new law about donor identity, and that single women are lower down the list than couples, that night be a clue about Helen's situation, no?
Bumping this because I still want some answers.
(Not just a rehash of DtA please.)

Keri said he was looking into posting something in the backstage news - he's just back from holiday, so I'll send a reminder.

It's worrying news, but still plenty of time for H to get rejected as unsuitable.
(Helen "doing the responsible thing choosing this route" ...".
Wonder if the dialogue with the nurse was run by the HFEA or the people who run the clinic?

I wonder if we can get some TAAM ARRCHER SARSSIDGES to go with those eggs?
