Kenton reappeared a few years ago after being away for years. What was he doing all that time ? Was he in the Navy ?

He joined the merchant navy as a cadet at 16. After training at Southampton, he joined some cruise ships and then oil tankers. He dabbled in 'finanncial advice' with an old sailor pal andnarrowly escaped a prison sentence when the authorities investigated their dealings. Next was antiques which failed. Then he went with Phil and Jill to Australia for a family wedding - Phil and Jill returned leaving him there. He got involved in some sail charter business, got a girlfriend and had a daughter. Once again, business wan't his strong point and neither was the relationship.
Returning to Ambridge, took over the running of Jaxx Caff.

    I think, anyway

He was a navigation officer in the Merchant Navy. Supposedly the cleverest of Phil and Jill's children. Was also in the antiques trade for a while.
