With Phil's funeral & 'Peggy' being on Desert Island Discs, my brother & I got talking about our lifetime with the Archers BUT got stuck on the name of Nelson Gabriel's winebar back in the 80's. Can anyone help?

Wasn't it just Nelson's Wine Bar?
That's what our memory says but it seemed wrong somehow. Wondered if it was 'affectionately' known as Nelson's...
I think it was referred to as 'Nelson's'. I don't know if this was because it belonged to Nelson or if it was the actual name up in lights outside.
According to this it was called Nelson's:

Yes, I don't remember that, it doesn't seem very likely now, somehow.
But I do remember Nelson's Wine Bar, virtually every storyline seemed to revolve around it in those days, Lizzie seemed to be in there permanently, and Shane was always having (silent) tantrums about his quiches, or whatever.

Happy times.
