How long does it usually take for the latest episode to become available for LAing?

It's arrived
It should be available 30 minutes after the end of the broadcast, so TA at 7.45pm.
If you can't listen to it via the links on the Catch Up page on this site, look through the thread called 'iPlayer/podcast/synopsis problems', which has various tips.

And the Podcast is usually available at 7:30 on the dot. It's been pretty reliable lately with just the odd occasional lapse. You don't have to download it, either, if you don't want to, just click on the link.
Went for a jog yesterday listening to Friday's episode on my iPod. Got some odd looks when I laughed.
If you want to download the podcast directly onto your iPod Touch or iPhone, without the intermediary of a computer, then it isn't usually available until the following morning.
You can't download it from the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú website because it needs Flash which the iPod Touch/iPhone don't have.
Very awkward when you're abroad with no access to your computer
Direct link to listen again via iPlayer:

That second direct link doesn't work on an IPod Touch or iPhone.
The iPlayer link doesn't work abroad. Also you need an internet connection the whole time you're listening.
If you go to the Archers podcast page reviews on the download page on an iPod Touch or iPhone it's full of complaints about hours-long delays in the programmes becoming available. Over Christmas there was a gap of several days from the 23rd of December.
My links were in attempt to help the OP, Urban Fox. Apols, I didn't make that clear.
Don't know how to get around the iPhone problem.

Okay, thanks.
My solution to listen to the podcasts without waiting for it to show up on iTunes is to download the podcast to a microSD card and then listen using my mobile phone. A pc is required, but the download only takes about a minute.
As mentioned above, the podcasts have been showing up within 30 mins of broadcst.
The problem is not having access to a PC when I'm away.
I use an iPod Touch also and you're correct; without access to a PC the only option is to wait the several hours until it shows up on iTunes.
