where or what is Loxley Barratt Thanks
It's a village near Ambridge.
It's also the name of the state primary school there, where the Ambridge children go.
Alma.

I always assume it is full of Barratt's houses.
Loxley Barratt used to be the deadly rival of Ambridge in all the inter-village competitions - cricket, Best-Kept Village etc - and were always accused of cheating. My favourite was when they won the best-kept village competition by sending their Morris Dancers to Ambridge and leave cigarette ends all over the green.
Rivalry these days tends to be with Darrington, and we haven't had a Best-Kept Village comp for ages.
