Earlier today, I was modded off the main board for a posting on the thread "i've just googled B'ham to Newquay" in response to post #23. It was about the use of the word "relish" and a facetious question as to whether the poster was relishing Pip's discomfort or whether the relish was on the female referred to in the post.
I have complained about post #27 on thread "What's the betting when Pip arrives..."
In the following terms:
"Suicide and suicide attempts among young people are a serious problem, particularly here in Northern Ireland. Whilst I do think that an attempted suicide may well be a possible outcome from this storyline, and it would be very interesting to see how it would be handled by all involved, I don't think that it's in any way entertaining or a cause for celebration."
But this was found not to have broken the rules.
I'm puzzled about the rules and what is real offese.
Offense is very subjective. Can't see a thing wrong with what you complained about. Especially as it is only pretend people.

The ways of the mods can be puzzling especially when you have something removed that you think is completely innocent. But (imo) the best thing to do is take your punishment and move on. It is only a message board after all.
No if there is nothing wrong and it is removed complain, dissect the standard letter to show you have not said anything relating to the reasons given, they often admit errors and reinstate.

Hi stokecitydave
You should receive an email about the reasons for your post's removal from the board. The moderators try their best to take into account a post's context, but it's not always an easy task - they have to work across many different message boards - and also work to a set of guidelines. Sometimes there's a fine line between what is and isn't acceptable on the board - what is and isn't deemed "offensive", for example. The rules and guidelines are here: - you should get a bit more detail in the email, however.
I hope that helps explain things,
Tayler
