I'm sure I just heard Jenny say she had got back from St Saviour's Church with Peggy (beginning of Sun 24 April episode). I don't think I've heard this church mentioned in TA before. Where is it? And, although this is perhaps more a DTA question, why would Jenny and Peggy have attended it rather than St Stephen's?

I think it's another parish church Peggy attends after she refused, several years ago, to go to St Stephen's because of St Stephens having a female vicar.
Yes, but I don't think she does that any more, not since Ambridge got a proper male vicar again. It must be in one o0f the adjacent villages that Alan also ministers to and where the service was that Sunday.
I don't remember having heard it referred to by name either.
Good question, Badge. I think this was, indeed, where Peggy went in her Janet flounce. Might it be St Xavier's? (For some reason, I hear that as having a slightly more Anglo-Catholic ring.. but have no evidence about any of this.)
Thanks, all. It would make sense for this to be the place Peggy went during her anti-women vicars flounce; perhaps she wanted to see friends she made during those days. I don't remember having heard the name before, although it's not the kind of detail I'm likely to remember for longer than a few months. It would be useful to have it confirmed.

Janet arrived in 1996. This is the year the Lowfield summaries divide between an old server and the get-at-able one. Trying to think where else to look .. hmmm..
Perhaps Tayler can find out from the SWs. I'm wondering, if no one has heard of it before, whether it might have been a typo on the SW's part which slipped through the net.

I don't think so because Jill was there too; I think Reggie is probably right, it's the church in Penny Hassett, Darrington or Edgely.
