Is anyone else having problems signing in to the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú message boards? When using Firefox I repeatedly get this message:
"Whoops!
It looks like there's been a problem
Can you try again? If you keep experiencing problems please let us know!"
I haven't changed anything and cookies are enabled. I can login with IE but then I can't use the Script.
Cheers,
Willber
Yup, with firefox AND chrome, had to go back to explorer, which takes ages.....

Seems OK to me, with Firefox 3.0.6. But we've seen before that the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú web people usually only test something with IE before putting it live.
Thanks for your replies, I posted this on Peet's Place where Pete gave me Tayler's email so I'll contact her.
(I noticed that I've put it in the wrong place, meant to post on N&Q, I'll try to get it moved)
Wilber, there was a thread in DTA started by Tayler which ran for a long time, don't know when it was last posted to but you could search for it by adding '?show=200' to the end of the DTA URL and then searching for 'problems signing in' on each page.
The upshot was for most people that you need to clear your cookies for Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú DNA sites and then try to get in again.
To do this in Firefox without clearing /all/ your cookies, click on Preferences under the Firefox menu in Mac OS, might be Tools -> Options in Windows. Then in the dialogue box, click the Privacy tab, and then the button which says 'Show cookies'. Find bbc.co.uk from the list, and delete this item.
Then try signing in again.
For the record, I'm using Firefox and haven't have any problems using this board, and haven't been logged out at any time. (Also use Safari, Opera and iCab at times and haven't had problems with any of them.) I don't think it's so much a problem with which browser you use, but if a 'dodgy' cookie gets stored in one browser, you'll have problems until you clear it.
Hope that works for you, anyway.
'Ö'
I had the same message but then realised that my password should have been in lower case. I'd been entering it with the first letter as a capital.

test something with IE before putting it liveÂ
[sarcasm on]
What? They actually /test/ the system before it goes live?
[sarcasm off]
I have often found new "features" that only work with IE and not with FF.
Doughy.

Hi Badger, which Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú cookie(s) do I need to delete, I have about 15 in the "bbc.co.uk" group?
Aha, I'm posting this using Firefox!
LP was right about the cookies; the one to delete is
"bbc.co.uk IDENTITY".
Hope this helps, and thanks for all the help.
Cheers,
Willber
