Why is it that I can listen to the evening episode of the Archers immediately afterwards on my computer, but on my mobile phone, it is "not available" until the next day's repeat has also been played?
Seems crazy to me - it's okay if I'm home and I can turn the computer on, but if I'm away and reliant on my mobile for the i player, why shouldn't I be able to listen to it that evening?
Same goes for all radio 4 shows which have a repeat, sometimes they don't repeat until Sunday.

Hello CGG
I'm not sure why this is. Will see what I can find out for you. Are you accessing the podcast on your mobile?

hi Tayler
No, I have a Nokia E71 with internet access, and when you go to the iplayer site, you download an iplayer app, which you then click on directly to use the iplayer.
It shows you highlights of TV and radio, or you can click on radio 4 and look at the schedule, but if you then click on something which has a repeat, but the repeat has not yet been shown, you can't access it - it says it is not yet available.
This applies, for example, to the Now Show, which you can't hear until after the Saturday repeat.
And it applies on a daily basis to the Archers, which you can't hear until after the next day's repeat.

Ah - ok, thanks for the detail. Will see what I can find out about it.
