If you mean 'contiguous files' on your PC - it just means that they are stored in one piece and not spread all over the disk
Accessing files that are contiguous can be slightly quicker which is why an occasional defrag of the disk is a good idea.
They are not a particular type of file - such as a word document, a spreadsheet, or a picture.
