that in the bit about Jim Lloyd in the "Who's Who, Stirling University is spelt wrongly.
There - feel better now.
I thought we'd always been told that he taught at Ediburgh. As far as I'm aware Stirling has never offered Classics, Ancient History or anything that Prof Jim might be equiped to teach either at undergraduate or post graduate level.
Well it definitely says Stirling (or rather Sterling) on the characters page. I didn't know that Stirling doesn't do classics. Double whammy then!

Perhaps Stirling doesn't do classics but "Sterling" does?
Sterling University eh? That must be at Grange Farm, specialising in Cow Science and Social Work. Ollie is of course vice chancellor.

The Who's Who is all to be updated as soon as the new website goes live as much is now out of date. I've passed on the comment. Thanks.

Thanks, Tayler - I'm not really that bothered. I just pedantically like spotting these things!

Surely it all shows that Jim is an academic fraud and he's really been an greengrocer all his life?
But when he first came to stay at the Stables, someone asked him what period in history he specialised in, and he said, none, just general history, so maybe Sterling/Stirling Uni does that sort of history, and Jim is not a classical historian, but has just been mugging up "The Ladybird Book of The Romans?"

So he is a generalist, but with a liking for the classics.
"So Professor Lloyd you are a big fan of the Beatles?"
"I am"
"And what would be your favourite album"
"A difficult one. I would say 'Best of the Beatles'"
