Please help an Antipodean understand the reference to nuns at Prestatyn (other thread on DTA). I've been to Prestatyn in Wales and apart from the bad camping ground, it seemed to be a nice town. Do the nuns run the camping ground?

It is a reference to Pat going and seeking refuge for a while when she had her nervous breakdown after John's death. This refuge was said to be with nuns, and was said to be in Prestatyn. Thus anyone but especially any member of her family who needs to be taken away in a little green van with square wheels may be said to need a visit to these nuns, or to that town.

I remember Pat going on a retreat but was it definitely to the nuns at Prestatyn? (I have a sneaking feeling that this is a MB invention.)

I carefully phrased that "was *said* to" this and that, with no suggestion it was on-air-actual.
