How doI listen to back episodes of the Archers, please? Hoping to go back to the 1940's/ begining
I'm staying with my Mum during snowy weather and have opportunity to use her laptop! I'm not very technical, will probably get my nephew to help me when he and his family come over for Sunday lunch! They're here till about 2p.m so hoping to get quickly reply! Would be really grateful for any help.
My 1st time on the website...
been listening on & off about 10-14 years now.
Thank you,
Amanda

I don't think you can. Something to do with performance royalties.
There are a few sound clips on the 'Timeline', just up there among the main headings, plus lots of little text boxes, so quite good for an 'ooh, do you remember' session.
I think there are some CDs of specific events, but nothing that covers decades worth of the programme.
(Ed saves Emma? It doesn't count if you're the one who endangered her in the first place.)

Some of the events on the timeline have little speaker symbols - they are the ones with the audio clips (the others have horizontal lines representing just text). If you click on one of those with the speaker symbol, you then have to click on the little "right-arrow" symbol and you should hear the audio clip after a few seconds. If you don't you have possibly got sound turned off (or right down) on your PC.

Hi ThankfulAmanda
I posted a reply to your post in Discuss the Archers last night about where you can find CDs of past programmes (You can find links to the CDs on the synopsis page on the right)
There's also a Vintage Archers audio CD coming out on December 6th, available from all good shops!
