Otherwise howcome she is free to do 3 days in the dairy? I thought she looked after her one day a week. Roy and Hayley must both be busy at Grey Gables and Lower Loxley at this time of the year and Brenda is now employed (though how much work she has to do I am not sure) so how are they managing?
And has Lorna left Lower Loxley - we haven't heard from her for ages.
That struck me as well. And didn't Vicky take on the day Brenda looked after Abbie, when Brenda was working on the Planet Leicester? So that Roy didn't have to do any childcare for his second daughter?
So, 2 days surgery, 2 days Abbie - not time for milkmaiding.

Hi ginslinger
I'm not sure - will ask about Abbie. I don't think we've heard that Lorna has left Lower Loxley - just quietly getting on with the job, I suspect! I'll check with the team though, to make sure I haven't missed anything.

Hello agin
Although Vicky is always willing and happy to help out with looking after Abbie, she's not her permanent childminder. Hayley and Roy work different hours from each other and so sometimes there is a parent at home. On other occasions Hayley takes Abbie to Lower Loxley.
Whilst it's not been specifically stated on air, Roy and Hayley also have an (albeit sometimes sleepy) Mike next door who'd be only too happy to look after his grandaughter after his milk round on occasion, and now Abbie is two, there will be local playgroups for her to attend, so there are other options for Abbie's care.
Tayler
Thanks Tayler - I knew that Hayley and Roy juggled shifts it was just that Vicky was so keen on babysitting and practically wouldn't leave the child alone and with both parents in the leisure industry Christmas might havebeen the time when Vicky might have been more in demand rather than less.... Hope L.orna is still around - did wonder if the-chap-who wanted-an-allotment was her replacement.
Well, what we WERE specifically told ON AIR, was that Vicky had taken on a specific CHILDMINDING (NOT Babysitting) Day, and that Brenda said, "WHY didn't they ask ME?" and got herself a day when she was in charge of Abbie.
Monday 10th August
Brenda is still sounding reluctant. And she isn't impressed that they've agreed that Vicky will regularly look after Abbie rather than Brenda who can't commit to a regular regime.
Hayley and Roy are suffering with the cost of Phoebe's new uniform for Borchester Green. So much expense. At least the new arrangement with Vicky will save them money.
Tuesday 25th August
Brenda is helping out in the dairy; it's not really her thing but she needs the money because, living with Tom, she cannot get the Job Seeker's Allowance. Later she is going to look after Abbie but fears she will be ambushed by Vicky ..
Tuesday 8th September
Vicky is experimenting with making honey facepacks for the Flower and Produce Show. She wants some feedback from Brenda and they both enjoy a spot of competitive babysitting
Really, I know it is not your fault, but if you could gently point out to whoever makes up such replies, we HAVE listened to the programme, and know what the story IS.
Tuesday 22nd September
Brenda has handed Abbie over to Vicky: she wants Roy to get her into the 'meet the farmer' event
Ah so it WAS a regular day. I didn't imagine it, THanks Sallyruth.
Yes, it was a definite arrangement.
Have you had any feedback when you pointed this out to the continuity person, or whoever it is answers your direct questions, please?
How too has Vicky managed to fit in her dentist days this week? She did her ffod hygeine on Monday and seems to have worked the rest of the week in the dairy, Including Tuesday when both Roy and Hayley were working so Mike was preumably looking afer Abbie

All good questions. I'd also like to know how Mike and Vicky fit in going dancing (if they still do - I thought everyone had forgotten this until it arose again re. the pantomime).
I keep seeing the truncated thread title as 'Has Vicky stopped hooking'; but won't go down that route now...
Ooh you are awful! But I like you! That had me chortling... might explain why she was so keen to get rid of her flat when she married Mike... sorry I just started off down that path ~*backtracks*

For some reason, ginslinger, I picture that path as somewhere just off the by-pass....

Sorry to be so thick, but to which list are you referring?
The list of things to ask the archivist about, in this case, why did she say it was NOT a regular arrangement for Vicky, when there was a broadcast when it we were told it WAS a firm arrangement?
Bump
Has she said anything, yet, Tayler?

If Lorna is still working at Lolo, why isn't she helping with the arrangements with the wedding?
What's happened to the "admin staff" that have previously been mentioned?

But what of Vicky's heard on air commitment to Looking After Abbie one day a week?

Hi all
This was some time ago (2009, I think) and it's not been mentioned on air whether Vicky continued with the commitment.
Hayley and Roy work different hours, and friends and family in the village are helpful when it comes to looking after Abbie. Plus Hayley has been known to take Abbie into work with her.
Re the dairy: In the past Vicky has swapped shifts and taken leave to do things that she finds interesting, which will account for her training days at the dairy.

**it's not been mentioned on air whether Vicky continued with the commitment. **
Well, she's been to visit Lynda with Abbie.
Roy and Hayley accepted Vicky's offer after their hours did clash, and, as usual, Raycist deemed his job more important.
Lizzie was VERY firm that Abbie was NOT allowed to go to work with Hayley, wasn't she?
This is clearly nonsense by the production team, they are feeding you non-truths.
And STILL it continues!
Clarrie is worrying that Vicky, who has 2 days a week in the surgery, and one day looking after Abby, will take Clarrie's full time job!
Why don't the writers refer to the previous scripts?
" there will be local playgroups for her to attend, so there are other options for Abbie's care. "
Can a two year old attend on her own? I thought an adult would be needed to be there - even if only to take her to and from the place.
Can anyone say who looks after Abbie when Hayley's working at LoLo and takes her with her? I didn't think there was a creche there in addition to all the other facilities.
I'm beginning to think that Baybee Abbee is down the cellar with Roary a lot of the time.
The arrangement is
Abby is with Roy most mornings, while Hayley takes the twins to school and then does odd jobs, and school activities at LoLo.
One day, Abby is with Vicky.
Roy arranged with GG, that he works shifts from 2 o'clock (except on the Vicky day) so that he can hand over Abby to Hayley.
No creches, at all. Toddler group in the village hall is for child and carers, not on their own, as nic was told.
They have always made it quite clear, they cannot AFFORD paid child care, in fact there was a load of waffle about wanting Betty back to do it for free (nothing about wanting Betty to have met the new grandchild, just free Childminding!!)
