Mike Tucker - does he still have only one eye?

  Many years ago there was an accident which resulted in Mike Tucker losing an eye. As a youngster I imagined Mike wearing a black patch.
  Poor old Mike and poor long-suffering Betty Tucker! There followed a period of depression and self pity. Mike's rehabilitation was a slow process but is now complete.
  Can anyone remember - what was the accident that led Mike losing the sight of one eye?
  When was the last time there was any reference to Mike's disability?
  Has Vicky noticed that Mike only has one eye? If so, there has certainly been no mention of it (most un-Vicky like).
