I've been unwell for some time and not been able to keep up with Ambridge life for some 5 or 6 months. Have caught up with most things but cant find much on Lilian and Matt: he had just come out of prison when I went under. Could someone give a potted short history please together with a brief rundown on Pip Archer's activities recently? Thanks.

Matt lost no time in getting Lilian to front a new company. He hopes to pull strings in the background, and after much negotiation, Lilian was secured a seat on a sub-committee of Borchester Land, for the purpose of one project only - the siting of the new market, over which, for complicated planning reasons, each company could have blocked the other.
Pip, now free of the clutches of Jude, has been deciding on which university is best for her to take a degree in agriculture and business management. She's settled on Felpersham, though both David & Ruth thought she'd be better spreading her wings farther from home.
Pip has been making herself useful around Brookfield, not least with a spot of detective work regarding some hay thought to have been stolen from there. Nothing has come of that, however, as it can't be proven that the 'hot' hay was Brookfield's, and David doesn't seem to wish to pursue it.
Thanks BuffOrpington, just what I wanted.
