I'm wondering how many churches Alan looks after.
I can remeber references to services in Darrington and Loxley Barratt but there must be others.
I'm just asking in case the unknown events of Sunday are about to add to his work load....
Ambridge, Edgely, Darrington, Penny Hasset were the original four.
An old vicar died about a yer ago and the Arch Deacon Rachael persuaded Alan to take on his two churches and parishes. Don't remember where they are.
Because he never bothers to go anywhere except Ambridge and Darrington.
Thanks Sallyruth
I agree that Ambridge seems to get more than its fair share of his attention.

In my experience where a vicar is in charge of a benefice ie more than one church, and lives, in one parish, the residents of that parish tend to think he's their vicar first and foremost and only the vicar of the other parishes as and when he can spare the time from them!
Bracton
When Janet was the vicar, she lived in Darrington but STILL spent most of her time in Ambridge, and did sodall in the other 3 parishes.
We only know what any of them do for a few minutes a day...
WE KNOW, when we are told, week after week after week, that the vicar took the Sunday morning service at St Stevens, that she/he is neglecting to take 3 other Sunday morning services at her/his other parishes.
I hadn't noticed that we were told about church services that often.
