Hi Sallyruth
Do you mean these FAQs?
They're the faqs for all Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú boards and usually appear in a popup as a link from the message boards. Are you asking about having a link there back to this message board?
Sorry if I'm being dense!
Tayler
I mean
The archers mmessageboard FAQ, which comes up on google as first pick, has NO LINK to the message board.
You can find the MB FAQ under "About" (it's not obvious, is it?)
BUT, coming from the google for" bbc archers message board," you get a hit for the link I gave, the Messageboard FAQ.
When you get THERE, there is
no link to the messageboard!!
Crazee.
So I cannot get to the messageboard from
google
MB FAQ
and it's hopeless trying to get to the messageboard from google anyway.
But the FAQ SHOULD have a link to the messageboards!!!!!!!
I'm glad I read this - I spent ages trying to find the archers FAQ the other day and couldn't understand why I kept getting the standard Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú page.

Is there any reason why you can't bookmark/favourite the messageboard so that you can go straight to it?
Yes

Hi again Sallyruth - it does need adding in. Thanks for letting me know.
Tayler
Thank you, yes it does.

While you're about it it would be nice to have a direct link to the MB from the front page of the site.
Intuitively one would expect the tab "Discuss" to take you to the Message board as the blog already has its own tab.
Thanks

There is a direct link - sort of - to the Messageboard on the home page. But it's disguised as the name of a particular thread. At the moment, for example, underneath 'On the Messageboard' it has a link named 'Thread: Slanging Match?'
You'd expect to get to the thread entitled 'Slanging Match?', wouldn't you? But no, you get to the Discuss the Archers Messageboard.
It's actually worse than useless. If you wanted to find that thread, good luck. It's probably sunk down many pages. If you wanted the Messageboard, well, you probably wouldn't click on that link because it purports to take you to a particular thread.

I agree. Put "Message Board" before or after "Blog". There is room.

Yes, I agree, Mike, there should be a direct link at the top. As you say, there's room.
And even if there weren't room, the Messageboard is surely more useful and used than the Ambridge Map or the Timeline which they DID find room for in the yellow menu bar at the top of The Archers home page.
They just need to turn the "discuss" one into one for the MB, not the blog first (when it's got its own next door) and then one link through a discussion to the MBs.
I mean they gave us a new board (Spoilers) to play with, now they want to hide all of them.
Weird.
Welcome to the Archers Messageboard.
