After the "Big Storyline" over the hols. with sadness I will now be saying goodbye to this prog. I have been a fan since I was a young man but now it is going for the big line hit's just like the rubbish that appears on the box that sits in most living rooms. The Archers never needed this kind of treatment as I am sure most life-long fans would agree. So with all that I will never tune in again to what was my favourite family

Bye bye.
I presume you will not be looking at these boards either. so its not really worth my asking that you do not generalise for us "life-long" fans?
Bye bye

Having listened to the archers since a baby in the 50s my mother listened from day 1 and having fully guessed the disappointing story lines in the 60th anniversary episode I will continue to listen as it is still probably the best writing, acting, comedy and consistantly entertaining programme on television or radio. Your attitude is that of a football fan whoose team is losing leaves the game early and does'nt go back till they win something a supporter is someone who takes the good along with the bad and keeps hoping and takes the enjoyment out of the dross which fortunately there is'nt to much of in the archers. Your loss!
