Could we possibly have her date of birth or at least her current age?
Thanks.
Dx
I'd be interested to know this too.

And a spin-off series, please.
Yup we're pinning all our hopes on Molly to get us through all the gloom and despondency of the months ( years?) ahead.

I've got a feeling we heard that she was 8 when she appeared as Lynda's bête noir at the maypole event a few years ago, but I couldn't back this up with anything sensible like hard facts.

Yes, I'd say going on 8ish at the Maypole, then 9ish when winning the Plinth contest dressed as a mushroom in summer '09, then crying when buzzed off by Neville at AGT, say ten... She's now eleven, we must therefore assume - and likely attending not-good-enough- for-the-gentry Borchester Green.

How old when she scammed extra chocolate for her 'friend in hospital' (yeh, right) from Easter Bunny Sid?

Hi Dusty
I'll see what I can find out - (I do like the idea of a spin off series! The Buttons?)

Her Dad has got his own large business, I think, so may well pay for her to go private ?

Her dad's the county mycologist, isn't he? I don't think that's a well-paid job (unless he's selling liberty caps to druids).
I suppose the whole family (are there other little Buttons? Is there even a Mrs Button, or did Molly sprout up one day from a bed of damp compost?) could be living on a diet of foraged fungi whilst saving every penny to pay for Molly to go to St Mag's, or the Cathedral School. Or Silent Molly could be the Head Chorister, and on a scholarship?

Hi Dusty
Seems poor Molly doesn't have a birthday, but was 10 in 2010.

Excellent! So she is 11 or nearly 11 now - Year 6 presumably.
Thank you so much Tayler. Dx

birthday sometime between late October and late November, she's obviously a Scorpio, keeps her own business to herself but full of whatever passes for smouldering passion when one is 10.

Poor Molly to have no birthday. Should we get up a petition for little Molly to have a birthday and even a special birthday tea, it is the least she deserves.
I'll sign the 'Birthday for Molly' petition.

I think Scorpio would be just right for Molly. Silent but deadly.

All must have speshul birthday teas. ECHR directive.
I like the idea of a spin off series. Molly's teenage years should be interesting.

I agree - Molly should have a birthday!
How about 5th June - as in Molly has 5 letters for the date and Button has 6 for the month.
That's about as "random with a vague reason" as I can think of!
Like it SC.
I just googled "National mushroom day" - it seems to be 15th October in the US. Maybe with Molly's fungi links, it should be her birthday ?

But if she's a Scorpio, it would have to be somewhere between Oct 23 and Nov 22!?
Tayler
Why would she HAVE to be a Scorpio?
Has that been suggested on air?
She might well be a spaghetti monster?

msg 14 above started the Scorpio suggestions.
I like the idea of linking her birthday to National Fungus Day, but maybe it might be more appropriate to have her birthday 9 months *after* NFD?
