Can anyone please tell me how I can get TA theme tune as my ringtone. I downloaded the tune from the message board about 3 years ago but now have a new phone and cannot find a link or a commercial supplier.

It's from Boosey & Hawkes - first on this page:

Orange isn't supported. I get AT&T in the States - I wonder if that would work?

Oops, must have linked to a US version of the page (or that's the default). You can set the site to the UK version by using the drop-down list at the top right, or try this link:

Many thanks for link. Problem now is that the site does not recognise my very new mob phone. Bring back switchboard operated phones and vinyl!
My 11 year old daughter put my Archers tune on my 'phone for me. I will ask her how she did it when she gets home from school.

That doesn't matter - that's just a help feature to enable you to check that your phone supports 'True Tone' ring tones. If your phone is new, it almost certainly will be able to, especially if it can play music - MP3s etc.
You can check your phone's manual to make sure it can play True Tone (proper music recordings, rather than electronic equivalents - check the difference between the Poly and True versions of Barwick Green to see what I mean), and, if it does, go ahead and order the True version. If the site insists you complete the boxes re your phone make and model, just put in anything - make it a newish phone to make sure it will support True tones.

I should have said 'that /shouldn't/ matter' - I haven't actually downloaded a ring tone myself (hate musical ring tones, but that's another matter) - but I'd be surprised if that bit about putting in your model of phone isn't just to help you be sure that your phone supports the relevant format before you pay for it. If you find this information out by other means, eg your phone's manual, you can put any model of phone into that box and it shouldn't make any difference.

Thank you all for your suggestions. My battery has now died, as has my will to live, so will try again tomorrow (after I've plucked a computer-savvie child from the street to help me). Whoops, will have the child protection agency onto me.
Leaping Badger: I loved the looks I got when my phone played Barwick Green and it enabled me to meet new Archers fans in far flung places.
