Where are the Frillies?

On the Archers Who's Who, nobody is currently listed as playing either Lily or Freddie. Can I hope that Lily is to be replaced by a child who actually sounds like an intelligent 11-year-old?

They don't usually put child actors' names in the cast list until they graduate to coming in to the studio to record their scenes.

Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear. Someone is pulling the wool over your eyes, Tayler. Please do not keep believing what your colleagues tell you and apply your own logic. The actor and actress are:
Freddie is Jack Firth and Lily is Georgie Feller
Their names are cited in a number of newspaper articles and I sincerely hope it was not Mr Davies who advised you on this as he names them in this Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú article:
Of all of the possible reasons for them not appearing in Who’s Who, privacy is not one.
And the Archers audience is around one million, not five. -

Yes, the response seems a bit rich when the actors playing George and Josh are currently listed! I'd just wondered (hoped) that new actors were being found for the Frillies (well, Lily anyway). They certainly LOOK the part but, strangely, this is not terribly relevant to listeners.

There are no biogs for the actors who play George or Josh, just their names and photos. I asked why there were no biogs for Freddie and Lily.
As far as I know, there are no plans to replace the actors who play Freddie and Lily

It was unpleasant because you suggested that Lily's actor was unintelligent, rather than she was incapable of portraying an intelligent child; i.e. you replaced a comment on the actor's acting skill with a personal remark about the actor's level of intelligence.
I also think Seveek's comment to Tayler above was rude and uncalled for:
The identity of the child actors and why the names of child actors do not appear in Radio Times or on the website has been discussed many times on here over the years. Keri always said one of the issues was privacy, and (since he is/was responsible for the contents of the website) we can presumably assume he knows what he is talking about and was giving a genuine answer. What reason could there be for misleading us on this point?
Please, please can we treat board hosts, actors and production team members with civility and respect? -

I can answer that there aren't any plans to replace the actor who plays Lily.

I think you are reading something into the first post that isn't there! Surely it was the acting ability that was in question, not the intelligence in the OP?
Incidentally, the actors for both Freddie and Lily sound fine to me. -

Tayler chose to give an answer to an unasked question. She put in post 3 "Younger cast members aren't listed in Who's Who for privacy reasons. "
Which is not an answer to the only question asked, by shula'scat "Can I hope that Lily is to be replaced by a child who actually sounds like an intelligent 11-year-old?"
Tayler has since answered this question in Message 13.
After it was pointed out that she hadn't answered the original question.
I was NOT being unpleasant.
Just pointing out FACTS.

I did not mean it to be rude, Mike. I just feel sorry for Tayler when she has to respond to us with something which is not logical or untrue. My expression of Oh Dear was in sympathy with her plight.
It is difficult to reconcile Mr Davies’s reluctance to put information on this board which is readily available from other sources a click away.
More so when one considers the posting ‘Nigel Pargetter - share your memories’, written by Keri Davies, and showing a picture of the twins with their names shown if one hovers over the photograph.
And the names of other child actors do appear on the Who’ Who; George Grundy, Ben Archer, Daniel Hebden Lloyd, Jamie Perks and Pip Archer are there but not the twins.
I hope that you see my point; no details on the profiles because of privacy but posted elsewhere in ML at will. It is not a logical standpoint.
I have a lot of respect for Tayler, particularly considering the difficult job she has. -

It is a mystery why anyone supported the privacy theory as being the reason Mike.
But now that they realise how inconsistent the approach was, Freddie and Lily are named and pictured. -
