Not to my recollection.
Chris Carter was, however, born with a harelip/cleft palate - which at the time greatly exercised Susan.

No mention of Alice in connection with Downs in any of my Archer books.
She was the result of attempted reconcilliation between Brian and Jenny and Brian dearly wanted a son.
When Alice was 4 years old, she fell off a gate, badly gashing her head. She was allowed out of hospital next day with no lasting damage.
Brian and Jenny were away and had to be summoned home which eventually led to reconcilliation.

During her pregnancy there was a lot of discussion on whether Jenny should have an amnio to determine the Down's possibilities - at the time this was a fairly experimental new procedure with lots of risks hence the discussion (jenny may even have been invited to participate in a pilot study?). Can't remember what she chose int he end but Alice was fine when born

Yes Mabel you are right. There was a lot of discussion about this as Jenny was over 40 and considered high risk.
I remember following this SL closely as I was pregnant at the same time and also considered high risk due to being older and having a Down's sibling. I refused to have the test.
However I am pretty sure Jenny decided to have a termination if the amnio came back positive and there was much agonising whilst she waited for the result. In the end there was much relief when the result was negative.
IIRC Brian was very much in favour of a termination, perhaps more so than Jennifer.

Hi all
From the archivist, Jennifer opted to have an amniocentesis because of her age and the result was negative.
