We are promised a new series in the Autumn.
It is the Autumn, and there is no sign of it.
When does our baby come home?
According to most sources Autumn consists of the months of September, October and November, so there is plenty of time left! (It's only September 8th.)

Yes, but if it's a 13 week series we should surely by now at least know when it will start?
4th October. Message 15

If AmEx was my baby then I'd put it up for adoption.
It's a silly waste of time and money and I'll offer odds-on that it won't see the light of day after this series. Otuse questions perhaps but was it is for? Who is it aimed at? Is it supposed to attract a new (younger?) audience to TA?
I'd hopr that the SWs will have learnt something from the first series and and feature some of the Ambridge silents like the Titcombes, Freda Froi, Sabrina Thwaite etc. and that it is an entirely standalone offshoot.
If we have to be subjected to storylines and scripts that weren't good enough in the first place for TA please don't let there be any of the thieving, stealing, loansharking characters we didn't know before AmEx and care not a jot about.

B-G - it is NOT "a silly waste of time and money" except to the extent that R4X is such.
But once they have decided to have R4X it is a perfectly reasonable and probably very cheap way to give it a drama slot - with an understandable side object of getting we Mustardlanders to visit the DAB world. Which I will not, preferring to LA on my PC whilst surfing.
I think the coming series will spend much time in SA, covering Pebble's kidnapping, rape, and eventual ransoming minus a left ear.

There we have to agree to disagree; R4X (nee Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú 7) is, by and large *. a tremendous addition to the radio catalogue. I don' think that its running costs are that onerous or a burden on the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú's budget.
( * The appaling Goon Show notwitstanding which has dated as well as, well, a mouldy old date.)

B-G - then we are NOT dissagreeing. Amex is money well spent!
We also agree on the Goon Show. It is just before my time, but I suppose it was so exceeded by Monty P that it seems weak.
I love Am Ex and radio 4 extra in general, apart from the fact that some repeats are repeated too frequently.
