1. Where is 'The Laurels'? I have always thought it was in Ambridge, but Peggy talking about getting a taxi made me think otherwise.
2. Does Amy still live at the Vicarage? Her reappearance this week made me wonder if she had moved out. Also which hospital is she working at?
Thanks

As I recall the job fairy got Amy into Felpersham General - I guess she's living locally (didn;t she leave home to go to midwife school)
Where is 'The Laurels'?Â
Probably 'just off the bypass'

Hi peacemaker
The Laurels is between Ambridge and Penny Hassett only a couple of miles from Ambridge.
And Amy is living at the Vicarage with her dad and Usha.

It's not just the distance from Ambridge to The Laurels, but also the distance Peggoi lives from Ambridge - when she and Jeck were healthy they still employed Higgs to drive them in to the village shop etc.

Will the impending Ambridge Lite focus on silents like Higgs? I'd much rather hear about the Fletchers, Sabrina Thwaite, the Buttons and the Titcombes* etc than Chaz and his cheating and the teenage TWOCers.
* What a wonderful name; it can be added to the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú's pantheon of 'Carry On' style surnames which include Mrs Slocombe and Miss Mountshaft; how do they get away with it?

Yes, it must be further away than that - when Jill was helping Uncle Tom to find somewhere for Prue after her stroke, they searched high and low and eventually found somewhere they felt was suitable - the Laurels. No-one had heard of it before, which they would have done, had it been that close.

Yes, I think you are right; they looked high and low for a suitable dumping ground for Jeck. Even then they had to wait until there was a vacancy (i.e. a resident was taken out feet first).
By the sound of it the Laurels is slowly sliding and slithering nearer and nearer to Ambridge; if it had been on Pekky's doorstep all along then she really wouldn't have had such a difficult time finding somewhere suitable.
