And how many guests did they have at their wedding please?
The kind of wedding cake would be a bonus as well.

The synopsis for 25th March of this year has
"Peggy introduces Brian to Elona, Jack's carer. Elona tells Peggy that she was brought up on a small farm but went to work in a city, where she met her English husband who was on holiday. Now she's settled in England with him and their children."

Yeah, right... Â
And in his two week holiday he met someone and brought her home on the strength of two weeks' acquaintance. That smacks of desperation on both their parts.
What's daft is that this curlicue was unnecessary. Why couldn't he also have been Albanian? Must be because he's going to be a rank badgin and the SWs didn't want a furriner being bad. Stand by for Peggy being reamed out by the Eenglish cheepy.

In the conversation in that episode of 25th March Elona said how she was brought up on a small farm, but that there was insufficient land to support both her and her brother - besides which, she was not so interested, anyway.
She told Peggy that she went away to "the city" and worked in a bar (I wonder if she was a waitress in a cocktail bar?), where she met Darrell - who was on holiday from Coventry (well, I imagine an Albanian city in the early 1990s would have been a wondrous and tres amusant experience for a Coventry lad .... not!)
Apparently Darrell was "so polite" and "had the English manners, you know?" And so they came over here and married, and Elona had the girls. As you do. Natch.

< " he had the English manners >
And the boss's spanners. If it ain't nailed down then Darrel will have it in the back of his van. In fact even IF it's nailed down.
I don't beleive he is "serch er coot mon Pekky" whatever Aloner claims. The lead from the church roof, the copper piping from the village hall and the Bull's peacocks will be half-inched within week, mark my words.

I wish that Tayler would come back to me on my question. I can't buy the current explanation that an English joiner would chose Albania for a holiday in the early 90s and there meet, woo, bring back home and marry a woman whom he had only known for two weeks tops.
It just doesn't seem like the detination of choice for a man with loose morals and a liberal interpretation on what consitutes property ownership.
But if her were Albanian these problems would disappear so so why did he have to be English? It makes it hard to accept that he'd not understand about not nicking things if he wanted to remain employed or that Peggy would buy this explanation. Come on! Even if he was holidaying there at the age of 16 that'd make him 34 when he went to prison, he'd need to be pretty dense to think that bosses like being stolen from and even encourage it.
It's as if the SWs forgot that he's English when they wrote these fatal words and thought he was Albanian.

Most of the people who had the money to get out of Albania in the early 1990s when things were falling apart were members of the secret police.
...well, it would bring _some_ vestige of interest to this otherwise deathly-dull character.

A Frend, I don't know that we've been told that they married after only 2 weeks' acquaintance.

They may not have married after two weeks' acquaintance but based on that one of them moved countries or both of them engaged in a long-distance relationship until they did end up in the UK together.
