Tayler - people are endlessly noting that bust BF has an unwaged cuckoo in the nest who could replace non-family paid staff.

Can we hope for some mention of this in the story? Or has it not occurred to Pat, Tony the worm, or the scripties?

Re latest news - do they now have to do 6 episodes for the price of 5? Or might TA lose a senior manager?

    Hi OI

The scripties are perfectly aware of Helen's status - she's still effectively on maternity leave but is involved in the running of the farm along with Tom. I have also been sending on some of the comments from the board, in my round ups to the team, about Helen and the fact that people think she's not pulling her weight.

Re latest news - are you referring to the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú cuts? This, as far as I know, hasn't and won't affect The Archers' budget.

Tayler, you say that the SWs feel that 'Helen is involved in the running of the farm with Tom'. Errrm - do they mean that she has looked over his shoulder when he worked on a new logo & brand and has watched the pigs' video once or twice ? Hardly qualifies as 'involvement' IMHO. It would be good to think that her involvement might stretch to saying to the family that she end her maternity leave forthwith & pull her weight.

Hi Buntysdaughter - I meant that Helen was involved in the decisions about the farm as we have heard her conversations with Tom as well as Pat and Tony. But I take your point - there's involvement, and then there's involvement! ; )

I do think she needs to pull rather more than her weight. After all, Helens additional 4 stone 3 lbs won't affect things greatly.

I was indeed referring to the reorganisation - surely there are not "cuts", but rather improvements?

Helen is long past SMP, but I think the actual corporate structure of Bridge Farm is unspecified?
