Tayler
We heard on TA (I hope it was not Amex) that Elona is "not impressed with my (Peggy's) cleaner"
This has been much discussed
but we are not clear if "Peggy's Cleaner" refers to
1) A person employed by peggy to clean her home, or
2) A term used by the SWs instead of "hoover" for a vacuum cleaner, or
3) A cleaning product such as Flash
- or indeed anything else?
May we please have guidance on the meaning of the sacred words.
It also hasn't been made clear exactly where Peggy obtains her cleaning products from. Does she have a regular visit from the Kleeneze man, or does she use the village shop or the supermarket?
We also need to know whether she uses conventional cleaning products or whether her daughter-in-law has persuaded her to go green.
This information is essential if we are to get our full quotient of enjoyment from the programme.
Thanks, OI, so much has been made of the state of Peggy's unwashed dishes & the piles of ironing (Lils to the rescue again !) that her mention of a 'cleaner' is a bit ambiguous. We shall see.

Or 4) Tony?
I missed that reference, OI. I presume, as Peggy doesn't have a cleaner, that Elona was referring to the vacuum cleaner, but I'll check.

PS. You're allowed to post Ambridge Extra queries here too.
Thank you, Tayler, so that's confirmed, she was talking about her vacuum cleaner.
Yes, but does that contradict Keri, who said that Peggy did have a cleaner ie a person not a machine?
I've never heard a vacuum cleaner referred to as a "cleaner" before, by the way.
Is this another case of being asked to believe six impossible things before breakfast?

Hi all
I've just heard back from the prod team and Peggy does have a cleaner (un-named on air).
Elona is helping Peggy on a couple of days a week (which doesn't necessarily mean full days) doing things like shopping and ironing.

PS. Apologies for presuming that Peggy didn't have a cleaner! That was my error.

Tayler - many thanks for the clarification and the most graceful apology for a very small sin!

Yes, thanks, Tayler, we appreciate the clarification. However, it makes the SL even dafter ! Not your area, we know.
