Well, I had thought that it was Simon Pemberton. However, it seems that I am mistaken because according to the website it was Matt Crawford

Certainly it is my recollection that it was the Estate, under Borchester Land, that evicted the Grundys, rather than the Estate under Pemberton.
Simon /tried/ to evict them, but failed.
It was Borchester Land that finally did the deed.

Indeed - and one reason he failed was Shula giving evidence on behalf of the Grundys. I think she was Rodway's appointed agent for the estate not a direct employee, but fairly sure it was post slap

And she was sacked for doing just that ..

And before his stint in chokey wasn't Mat on the BL board?
I'm sure he was. In fact he seemed at one time to be quite a top dog.

I think he was Chair of BL at one time.
He seemed to have the say so when Tony and Pat bought BF?

This extract from a book gives some info. Essentially Matt finished what Simon tried to do.

And Jennifer, in justifying why Brian, as part of BL had been party to the eviction said "You can't have a farm like Grange Farm these days....."

Thank you folks
When I stated that "somebody isn't concentrating", I was right. That person was me.
Must listen harder.
