Tayler, any chance of finding out what part of the country Ivy's accent comes from? Sounds identical to Wayne Tucson's to me but I can't place either. Are they W Midlands?

Hi Reggie
Ivy's birthplace has never been divulged on the programme - she was born before 1951 and we only started to eavesdrop on Ambridge then!.
As Birmingham is only about 30 miles from bits of Borsetshire, the West Midlands twang will occasionally appear in a lot of local accents, including Ivy's.

I thought Ivy was Jolene, with a suddenly developed smoker's cough. They sound identical to me, and since Jolene came from Layton Cross, possibly Ivy does, too?

Thanks Tayler but what about the pressing issue of the year- Cloive's unfettered (literally) access to Ambridge? I'm sory to hijack this thread but there are many well-informed posts elsewhere about how unrealistic - ludicrous even - about the whole CIA (Cloive in Ambridge) situation.
Not wanting to shoot the messenger but these quries have been ignored and even those amongst TA who may be considered as the wrong sort of listeners are surely due an explanation.

Hi Barwick_Green
I have posted somewhere here in response to a query about Clive's terms of release - namely that they've not been given in detail on the programme.
The team responded that they haven't given details regarding how or if Clive's movements are restricted, or whether his work is restricted to Felpersham. He does report regularly to his probation officer, and his approved address is a hostel in Felpersham.
I have also passed on details of comments on the board to the team.
Tayler
