Tayler - as you may have seen many here claim that Cloive being allowed to visit Ambridge unescorted is unrealistic.

Could you ask if the SWs had advice on the matter, and if so how it explained the situation?

And IIRC we are still looking forward to a response to Leading Rein Hunt gate.

I agree OI. I too would like answers to both questions. However I don't hold my breath that Tayler can provide us with these. She can only tell us what the prod team want us to hear and the official line is that everything is meticulously researched.

In fact since Clive reappeared in TA I have hardly listened. The whole SL is barking. Last night I tentatively dipped my toe back in and was presented with the ridiculous scenario of Clive being allowed to take young Jawgee bowling on his own.

I'm afraid TA has lost all credibility for me this year. I am listening less and less.

And why no mention by Cloive's of his own daughter Kylie- who is 22 tomorrow - (Wed 26 Oct). His recent family friendly approach doesn't extend towards his ownflesh and blood.

Chances are though that the Johnny/Joanna come lately scriptie has no idea that he even has a daughter.

    Hi all

The team always take advice on storylines like these - as they also did with Matt's release.

The terms haven't been given on air - license conditions are often different in each case - but they have said that Clive has been released on licence, is living in a hostel in Felpersham and reports regularly to his probation officer. He had special permission to visit his mother because she's ill.

Also, the team do know that Kylie exists.

This previous thread in N+Qs may be of interest, OI.

< He had special permission to visit his mother because she's ill.>

Thanks Tayler but Ivy is only 'ill' with a bit of a cough and we know she hadn't seen a doctor for weeks so how did the prison and probation authorities aware? She's not been admitted to hospital nor is she at deaths's door. From my (limited experience in these matters - I worked at the the forerunner to the Ministry of Justice for many years) Cloive would only be permitted to see his old ma if she was very seriously ill and even then he would be escorted in and out of Ambridge.

Also, Auntie Cardboard, Jill and very probably Susan would have been advised in person about the evil immolating horse mutilators return to the village but they weren't. Artistic licence is fair enough but the SW's have ridden roughshod (digging their heels in and glancing over their left shoulders no doubt ) with the facts here.

I don't believe the SWs are suggesting that Clive is allowed to take George bowling on his own. I think they are suggesting he is breaking his parole conditions, as he has done in the past. I agree with the general thrust of this thread though - if he is lying (which I'm sure he is) it's incredible that he hasn't been found out yet.

Chances are though that the Johnny/Joanna come lately scriptie has no idea that he even has a daughter.

This week's writer Joanna Toye has been working on the programme since 1980; I'm not sure that can be described as "Joanna come lately"! I agree it's a pity Kylie hasn't been mentioned though.

Assuming parental consent, why should Cloive NOT take his cousin (2removed) bowling?

I thought he wanted to take his great nephew (George) bowling. Where has this cousin (2removed) come from all of a sudden and who is he/she?

I think you have it Reggie. I slipped a generation in my mental family tree. Cloive is indeed Emma's uncle. Maybe also her moral guide?

but Tayler, they are wrong, this would not happen. As a senior probation officer, I know he would not be allowed to do this on licence because of the proximity to the victims. Ivy would have to be hospitalised , he wouldn't be able to regularly visit and hang around. none of the rest of Ivys famility seem to know what is wrng with her apart from an awful cough.

Kylie hasn't been mentioned because no doubt at an early stage of her young life her mother took out an injunction to prevent Clive seeing her.

Clive wouldn't care anyway - too much trouble to see Kylie who knows what he has done and won't look up to him as George does.

I believe both Sharon and Kylie were mentioned as being present at Alice 'n Chris's 'do' after they got married .

    .. and it's early days yet ..

Pretty good call, Bunn. Just re-listened: Emma was trying to get Ed to go outside so she could tell him she was pregnant, when Chris asked Ed to stop Eddie & Joe from hassling Lord Aylbury (apols for spelling). Emma went over to talk to "Kylie and Emma Franks".

So we do know that Kylie is still very much in contact with the Horrobin clan, presuming it was the same Kylie.

And Kylie was in the Marquee to Mark Alice and Chris's marriage (assuming the ref to "Chris's cousin" meant her - we haven't heard of any Horrobinlets from Tracey, Keith or Stuart, and Susan WOULD have needed Clothes for The Christenings, wouldn't she?)
