I hope I'm not too late (in terms of the recording) to put in a plea that if there is to be a rendition of "Should auld acquaintance be forgot" as part of the Christmas Show, that 'auld lang syne' be pronounced as such and not as 'auld lang zyne'.
(Before anyone suggests that it's not likely with Jazzer being involved, his presence didn't prevent 'zyne' when Robert and Lynda had their Victorian Christmas party.)
I've only ever heard 'auld lang syne' pronounced as 'auld lang zyne'. I can't imagine anyone in Ambridge knowing an alternative pronunciation.

I think of 'ALS' in connection with New Year, not Christmas, so I don't imagine that this particular song woiuld be chosen. And where I come from, deepest Jazzer-land, we would say 'Syne', not 'Zyne'. That's my tuppence worth !

I'd expect Jazzer and Jim Lloyd at least to know it's 'syne' not 'zyne'. And it's because people who are not Scots think it's pronounce 'zyne' that I've raised it now, before any recordings might have taken place.
I take your point, buntysdaughter, that it's for New Year in RL, but this is Ambridge.
