Taylor
I don't know if it too early to start this one rolling, but will Mustard Land be available during the Christmas holiday, especially on the day itself? In the past it has been a real life saver having this bolt-hole to escape to!

Hi Doughy
I've already asked and we're staying open. I'll be popping in for a glass of mulled wine on Christmas Day and perhaps an aspirin on New Year's Day ; )
Tayler
Hurrah!
Thanks, Tayler.
Yes, Hurrah! Many thanks Tayler, sorry to have not replied earlier.

I am glad that ML will be functioning over Christmas. A lot of people (me included) will be alone and the ceaseless merriment on TV is sometimes rather hard to bear. Not to say that this place will be miserable, but maybe a bit more temperate.

I should perhaps have made it clear that being lonely and/or miserable is not a prerequisite to posting here, over Christmas or at any other time.
In my opinion, anyone who hasn't got something better to do on 25 Dec than to post on a messageboard is a sad g*t.
Speaking as one who has done it ...

They may be sad but at least they are not necessarily ignorant, insensitive fools. And the final sentence is no get out clause.
Why not come along this Christmas Day and have a good sneer.
Glad to hear that your irony by-pass operation was a complete success.

I doubt whether you have the first idea what irony is.
You just reflect on the number of people who commit suicide over the Christmas period. Oh, how very ironic.
I've no idea what you're talking about with your reference to suicide.

No, I don't suppose you do.
What you said (post 12) was:
"You just reflect on the number of people who commit suicide over the Christmas period."
Your statement is incorrect, which is hardly surprising since you do not know me and have no basis upon which to comment upon how I pass my time over the Christmas period.
If your post was intended to suggest that I should reflect, you could have said so.
In which case I suggest that this discussion would proceed more smoothly if you could trouble to express your point clearly.

Hi both
Please don't use this board for a spat. I'd rather not have to close my own thread!
Thanks

Point taken. I just don't like people mocking others who may be more unfortunately situated.
Sorry. I wasn't intending to mock anyone (apart from myself).
