Can you shed any light on why Jim is so content that Kenton is taking so much on at the Bull? He's being paid by Jim to manage Jaxx wine bar which surely would have a few customers in on a Thur night. Yet Jim was at it again saying cheerfully that the extra food at the Bull was Kenton's idea to bring in the customers. Not once has he ever implied that he's worried at how much time and effort Kenton is spending on the Bull and the effect this must have on Jim's own business?

There needs to be a reckoning in the new year or else I'll think that the SWs have forgotten that Kenton has a job elsewhere. Perish the thought.

Surely this is a discussion point for DTA rather than a detail-/fact- specific note or query? Cannot see that it is Tayler's job to speculate on the mysterious workings of the SWs' black arts.

I agree with Mustapha, it's a question of speculation about current or future plots, not a question of fact, and thus not something that Tayler could possibly answer.

Do you want responses only from Tayler/any other TA staff who come here?

    Or from all of us?

Jim is far too much of a gentleman to talk to all and sundry about such matters. IF he had a problem he would speak to Kenton, but the Jaczz turnover figures are great and the cross-promotions very successful for both.

I'd like Tayler to reply OI which is why I asked her.. Others might also have a view but I'm perplexed that all I've ever heard is Jim smulgy saying how good for Jolene Kenton is and how wonderful it is that he's helping her at the Bull.

Jim invested a lot of money in Jaxx - if that goes belly up then he won't be seeing that money again. I can't help wondering why he would continue to pay a manager who's seldom there and often in another watering hole. If he's not concentrating on making Jaxx pay, maybe Jim could do without him and get Kirsty in to manage. In these parlous financial times when bars are closing and going down the tubes weekly and where they struggle to pay their bills if they do survive, it seems odd to me that Jim can be so cavalier with his life's savings.

An insight into this would be welcome.

    Hi A Frend

I can't comment on Jim's contentment or otherwise about Kenton spending time at The Bull - but will pass on your comment to the team.

In answer to your second point, the scriptwriters haven't forgotten that he works at Jaxx.

I suspect, frenders, that it may have been forgotten that Jim is a major s/holders of Jaxx, & Kenton's employer.
In much the same way that it has been forgotten that the Bridge Farm Collective hasn't so much as an endame bean to it's name, but is skating merrily(!) along with nary a thought to the humungo-mortgage, the rent, rates, staff costs etc at AO, or the cost of the much-talked up rebrand.

But then I am a nasty, cyncial old RS.
