I seem to remember that the 15 minute episodes used to be between 19:05 and 19:20 pm whereas my husband, an enthusiast, thinks they ran from the current start time of 19:02 onwards for 15 mins.
(By the way he also forgot they were ever 15 mins long!)
Can anyone help me with this?

I'm pretty sure they started at a quarter to seven and ran until seven.

Just so. And the repeats from 13:45 to 14:00 when we all sat comfortably for "Listen With Mother". Later giving way to "Woman's Hour".
And although the epis were a little shorter than the full 15 mins they still had to be edited to get 5 into a 1 hour omnibus. If you had heard the original you would often notice the missing bits.

I think you'll find that TA was at 1.30 - followed at 1.45 by Listen with Mother, preceded as it was by the fanfare of bells and the words "the time is a quarter to two". Then it was Womans Hour until 2.00. Until James Boyle changed everything!

Sounds good - but you mean Wimmin's Hour FROM 2?

Quite right Rick.
Listen with Mother was definately "a quarter to two".
The evening TA was 6.45 until 7 when I first started listening, and was moved to 7.05 until 7.20 until the 12½ minute epis came in, when the missing 2½ minutes were stitched together to make the Sunday epi. The 15 minute epis included the intro and outro music in the 15 minutes and the omnibus was one hour but included the intro, outro and Tom Forest's words of wisdom.

Oh yes, there was a time, mid-1950s I think, when the omnibus was on Saturday night. I have a tape with Tom Forest's intro stating that he was now "back on Saturday night". Does anyone remember this?
