Can't remember for the life of me who wanted to start this up all those years ago and what happened to it. Was it a David and Ruth venture or was it another one of Brian's plans with or without BL?

David and Ruth venture with Brian without BL - IIRC.
I think it was Adam who first proposed it, then Debbie got all excited, then Brian, and then Brian brought David and Ruth into it.

Adam gets another call from Debbie. Her latest obsession is bio fuels! They really must get into it! She wants to get some sort of digester and wants Borchester Land on board too! But will Brian think it's a good idea? And funnily enough, it's going to have to be Adam that does all the work.

So now Debbie's getting her digester. And a few coos.
Why was it rejected last time?
The bio-digester was the best storyline in recent years, and it's a shame it was allowed to fizzle out so easily after giving us so much fun.

There was a rival digester that got its planning permission first.
