  I listen to TA virtually every day. But you wouldn't know it from my current knowledge (I put it down to turning off mentally because of weak characters and stupid SLs).
  
  But who is the young lady with the Brummy (?) accent and the new scooter?
  
  How is she related to the Jason clone who works for Matt?

  Rosa has a new scooter.
  She's the daughter of Elona and Darryl.
  He's recently out of jail and Elona is the Albanian lady who looks after Jack in the Laurels and who Peggy helped to rent on of Ambside's houses in the village.
  She's also the sister of Anna, who recently got a new keyboard.

  No wonder I am puzzled. Two daughters.
  
  Are the girls Darryl's children or Elona's (or both)? I had somehow assumed that Elona was quite a recent arrival on these shores. The girls must be teenagers.
  
  And am I not right about Jason? If the SWs had to have a new handyman-builder about town (albeit one with a criminal background) couldn't they have given him a different accent.
  
  This is radio.
  
  Can we have a campaign for minimising new characters in TA?

  Anna and Rosa are the daughters of Elona and Darryl.
  Elona has been in GB for at least 16 years, but I don't think it's ever been said exactly how long.
  Clearly Darryl is one of these 'heart of gold' guys, but the poor chap just comes across as being totally esculated, at home and at work.

  It's come to something when I'm actually supporting immoral, money-grabbing Matt because Darryl just seems weak and wet.
  
  I'd love him to quit on Matt, then tell Elona to stop spending money so quickly!

  FWIW I don't hear Darrel as being anything like Jason - who had a much stronger, richer and pronounced Brum accent. Darrell's meant to be from Coventry - would that (and his apparent lack of "a pair") possibly account for his much lighter voice & accent?
