Sorry if this is one of those topics that gets broached and rebroached.
The board's many nicknames and acronyms - is there a glossary?
Could there be a "sticky" of such thing?
Some are obvious enough but most of the Mopey, Dopey, Lizard ....argh!
Why, I feel stupider than the Joe's Teeth SL !
Er, there is a pinned thread immediately above this one giving that information and much more.

Agree, eekahil. More than once I've given up reading, let alone commenting, on a post because I'm not 'in' on the joke. A list would be good, more so if it could be regularly updated.

Sorry, but I can't see a pinned thread - could you please point me in the right direction?

Just out of interest. How did you manage to originally post on this part of the message board without seeing that there was a "sticky" at the top? You are obviously fairly au fait with the Archers MB because you knew to ask for a "sticky".

FWIW, one of the many blessings bestowed by The Script is that if one marks a thread - even a 'sticky' thread - as being '4' (No Further Interest), it slides down the board, lurking below threads marked with '1' (Favourite), '2' (New) and '3' (Mildly Interesting).
So on DTA and N&Q I rarely get plagued by stickies - wonderful!

I had no idea what a ‘sticky’ looked like so I didn’t notice that there was one. And I didn’t mention ‘sticky’ in my post. I just replied to eekahil’s post. I’m flattered you think I’m au fait with the MB, bit I’m really not.
"Sticky" is a widely used internet term and isn't peculiar to ML, Peggy.

What is a sticky???
It's a topic that is permanently "stuck" to the top of the board.

"Pinned" is another term - see top item here
Stays at top of list.

That would be a 'pinny' though wouldn't it?
If it covered all the FAQs, wouldn't it be an overall?
