In tonight´s show Chris B. said that the jury had doubts about ´the integrity´ of Diarmuids gardenhouse. What can they mean?
Hello, I was confused by that phrase too, but then decided he meant how the garden house integrated into the rest of the garden.
That's what I thought. A boxy wooden structute that looked out of place amongst the rest of the garden. Or was that pretend silly daisies out of place with anything? I was surprised to learn last night of those gardens who 'only' were awarded bronzes and even 'a letter'. Ooh-err.
Diarmuid Gavin is a RHS horticultural one-trick pony.
Box "balls" and posh "sheds" for the "Elite".
I bet he couldn't do a 5 x 5 Courtyard Garden, and win Gold.

I took it to mean that the structure either wouldn't work well in reality (turning into a closed box for the winter). Or that it was constructed poorly and would fall apart.I read an article in the Telegraph online by Bunny Guinness suggesting that Diarmuid had scrapped his initial garden design 5 months ago and then teamed up with Terence Conran for the joint garden. I don't suppose 5 months is very long in terms of producing a show quality concept and garden. I liked the garden but didn't think it was original enough for Chelsea.
I get fed up with the undue prominence given to fellow ex and current tv presenters' gardens... or anyone else who's been on telly, however many years ago.
The Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú skims over the professional designers' work, which is far more worthwhile as they avoid gimmicky, crass eyesores like Daimud's daisies or lollipops and those intrusive 'harp strings' from Rachel D'T.
Those Daisies were awful. If I had to chose between having those monstrosities in my garden or a Gnome, i'd go for the Gnome
I didn't feel the planting was that imaginative either, and the wooden structure just seemed to clash with the garden, rather than blending into or integrating with it.
