where is your gold george?

  Was it only me that thought the George Harrison garden was robbed of its gold medal? when i feel half the 'gold' medal gardens wheren't even worth a silver guilt. Come on RHS judges what where you thinking? Every year i have agreed with the judges dissicions but this year i dont see where it went wrong with the Harrison garden? Wheres its gold!!!

  The gardens are judged against the criteria set out by the designer and not on marks out of 10 so if a garden doesn't get gold it's because it's failed its own design brief in the translation from paper to ground.
  
  As for George's garden, I actually thought it was awful but that's my just personal taste.

  yes i do understand how the judges judge the garden.
  
  and well your all alowed your own opinion and i do agree that some of the bits in the garden...the middle bit aspecially were a bit dodgy but from what i hear that it fitted all the gold criterias and its brief. and it was a pleasent garden that had some meaning behind it.
  
  however it is not a garden i normally go for usually favouring gardens like last years space gardens and this years i seak i dream garden but i seemed to take a fancy towards the george harrison garden this year
