Richard's latest entry to the Guerilla Gardening blog makes for interesting reading:
Given that 'sustainable gardening' is a recurrent theme of Carol Klein's, what action are the organisers of Gardner's World Live going to take to ensure that the recycling of plants from the show can take place without the debacle that appears to have followed Chelsea?

Thanks for the link FellowCuckoo - very interesting assuming it's all true.
I think the RHS should also take note to ensure this fiasco doesn't happen again. Perhaps RHS members sympathetic to this problem could write to them.

Interesting read, like Cynthia, assuming its true.
I don't think Hilary Blume will be too pleased.
I thought most of the gardens were either bought as a whole garden or given to the charity they were sponsered(spl) by. I know I heard the Alzhiemers garden was to be reconstructed elsewhere. Maybe some of the exhibitors now want some of their plants back to sell on in their nurseries? Goodness knows how much money they can make, having been to the GC I worked in last year at the weekend, I noted that the price of a clematis in a 3 litre pot has climbed from £6.99 to £9.99 since the same time last year . Same supplier, same transport. Fuel costs for the lorries have a huge amount to do with this. Its cuttings for me!
I thought a lot was recycled. I would think there is a lot more of it being done on the sly. Cynic that I am.
