A friend in Sheffield would like to buy some raised beds but with no carpentry involved. Any ideas anyone please?
There's this system:
Haven't used it myself but it fits the brief!
Many thanks .... have just passed on webpage details.
We built our raised beds with 6 inch gravel boards supported at intervals with stakes in front of them. We got both from Wickes. No screwing or nailing, just bang the stakes in very firmly on the outside of the bed and place the boards vertically. The soil/compost pushes the boards outwards and the stakes push them inwards so they stay upright. Dead simple but I might not have explained it very well. And much cheaper than the linka bords. Think Hugh FW did something similar on his River Cottage programme last week
I had a look in B&Q today. Thet are about £3.80 each for an 8'board.
Janet.
