Am I the only person to press the mute button on the remote at the start of the programme? I used to love the old tune and would whistle or hum it for ages after. The new one just doesn't inspire me at all.Too dull, too dreary, soooo not jolly.
I find the tune quit bearable but usually don't care about the music in any progs opening sequence. The prog it self is what matters the music is unimportant. Inspiration should come from inside and should not be needed from others.
This thread has been done before. Agree with you Swisscrimson. What does it matter what the introductory music is? Surely it's the programme content that is important. I do have to say I do not like the music played during the programme, especially the operatic warbling. Far too loud and not needed. Grates on the nerves and distracts.
I like the signature tune and surely it is just a reworking of the original one. There has already been a long thread on this and ( as ever) people seemed equally divided.
Don't like music during programmes - especially when it is louder than the speech - unneccessary!!
