Its like we are all interested in Wimbledon, NOT.
Yeah. But not everybody is interested in gardening either.
The Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú caters to lots of peoples needs including you and me. Personally, I like gardening and sport too.
Take a chill pill !
Do some gardening maybe ??
Sport should be on a sport channel.
I agree!
Its always us that have to suffer if its not snooker its tennis or even golf, why can't they put these programes on a different channel or different side. We get to watch it one day aweek . Im sorry but it makes me so mad

Correction. ONE HOUR a WEEK - IF we are very lucky, or just a measly half-hour if not - for approx 30 weeks, then we are deserted for the remaining 22 weeks just when we need tips and advice most. (I may be being generous with 30 weeks)
Gardening activity has been called a Green Gym, so things like synchronised runner bean trench-digging could be classed as 'sport'.
Can the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú please be a 'sport' and put ball and machinery/riding sports (other than sit-on lawnmower racing) elsewhere in the programme schedules? Preferably after 11pm. Thank you.
Agree - AND I'm a huge Wimbledon fan. Its usually repeats of what went on during the day anyway after 8pm. Come on Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú - use one of your other many channels for sport.
To be honest I'm glad of a break from GW and I expect the presenters are too. Its all been slightly mad on it since the Monty debacle, so a couple of weeks off for them (and us) to draw a few deep breaths won't do anyone any harm.
Wise words Aspidistra and I agree totally. It's been fraught, frantic, emotional and not very relaxing to watch at times. Which is exactly what you'd expect from people after a huge shock. They must be a close knit bunch, even if they have their differences. They need a break.
"Chill pils" are not the answer (is that how you solve all your problems!). The answer is for the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú to treat the people that watch GW with a bit ( a lot!) more respect and consideration.
"To be honest I'm glad of a break from GW and I expect the presenters are too"
Dont you have an off switch!?
Don't worry folks - if you don't like tennis I am sure there will be football (I know it's not the season and we are not in Euro 2008, but that doesn't seem to matter), cricket, motor racing or golf to enjoy and for those of us (me included) who are not sports fans - well no doubt we will have a veritable cornucopia of repeats to watch !!!!!!!! I counted 7 repeats in one evening last week. Why can't they put the tennis on instead of one of those or put some repeats of other gardening programmes on so we can still have our "fix" ???? Nan x
..... and why is it that seemingly GW cannot be at any other time except 8pm?
Why can't it be moved to 9pm if Wimbledon needs to be on at the same time each night during the tournament.
The 9pm slot for the next 2 weeks (at least) is occupied by a REPEAT of the previous Sunday's 'Top Gear'. That's TWO prime time slots
And do we get repeats of GW on 'ordinary telly' - no we don't, not even a signed version in the early hours.
Jb
I am lucky enough to have a sky+ box so am able to record all the 10pm and weekend GWs that are rerun on UKTV Gardens. Seeing AT, and early MD is much better than the repetitive and content-lacking drivvle that has been piped out for the previous couple of series (1 or 2 episodes were exceptions) of GW.
I know other people aren't so lucky and in the complete absence of any other gardening TV shows at the moment on the freeview channels it begs the question - what is this board for, apart from to complain non-stop at the Beeb for producing inadequate twaddle sporadically?
Just goes to show that those tickets and gardeners' world magazine subscriptions really aren't anything other than subsidising the rights to show various different sporting events as clearly the money isn't being invested back into gardening.
I am treating OH to Sky plus for his birthday - they are coming to set us up on 2nd July, so hopefully I will then be able to find some gardening programmes. Nan x
