    if only the Beechgrove garden went national.....I saw it on the bbc I player and was totally enthralled,quirky humor+sound knowledge +information.
    the only problem for any southerners would be getting used to the accents,and expressions.but it is certainly entertaining and reminiscent of the old style gardening progs

    I agree. Beechgrove is great and should go out nationwide - but none of the accents on Beechgrove is as difficult on the ear as Joe's mockney.

    I agree - but with reservations. If TPTB in London add their throwaway, here today, ripped out tomorrow 'values' and fanciful camerawork to Beechgrove, they'd ruin it. Perhaps Beechgrove's production team could be drafted in to GW, then we'd have TWO decent prgrammes per week!

    Incidentally, I don't care what sort of an accent someone has - it's what they say that matters - but I often wonder how Joespeak is received by his delightfully spoken parents!
