We watched gardeners world last night (01.08.08) and loved the path leading to James Alexander-Sinclair's secret garden. Does anyone know what this was made of? Cheers.

I have just watched this bit three times and I am totally missing any secret garden in James Alexander-Sinclairs garden? Don't know if I am having a slow morning or not

You don't mean the path through the rose arch in Johnnie Amos's garden do you?
It's the bit just before the garden where the heads of recent queens are. Is it on Iplayer yet?
Yes! We just found it on Iplayer. We couldn't get it to work first thing and were all fighting over it what it was made of. Thanks.
How I agreed with the guy who moaned about lawns: an hour behind the mower and next week you've got to do it all over again - and again - and again...
But I completely missed how planting those clipped trees solved all his problems - surely it now takes him much longer, having added all that dodge'n'edge?!

I thought James Alexander-Sinclair was a hoot and loved his garden, but I was thinking the same thing as you about mowing the lawn with goal posts
