  Hello there, can anyone tell me if Monty Don is coming back to Gardeners World or not and how well he is at the moment. Thanks Spacedigger.

  1. Monty will not be coming back to GW

  Hi spacedigger. Yes I agree. I too am concerned about Monty. To me he was more like a friend than a presenter. I saw him every week (via the TV), but suddenly he's no longer around. I too have heard that he is getting on fine, and I hope that this is true, but I for one won't be easy in my mind until he is fully recovered and back (albeit in a new programme - or for just a brief interview) on our screens once more. Monty old friend, if you should happen to read this, please get fully fit and come back soon.

  Sorry guys Monty is not repeat not coming back. He has recovered from his stroke and has taken over presidency of The Soil Association. He has moved on as we all have to do.

  Thanks for your reply, but on what authority do you say "Monty is not repeat not coming back"? TV has many personalities who have recovered from serious illness and have bounced back. How do you know what Monty will do in the future?

  I read the newspapers.
  In a statement, the 麻豆官网首页入口 said that the star was making 鈥渁 good recovery鈥�. It said: 鈥淢onty Don has decided to stand down as the main presenter of Gardener鈥檚 World. Monty has presented the series for the past five years but has been off our screens for the past six weeks as a result of a minor stroke.

  Speaking at the Hay Festival, he appeared to shrug off his illness to make a passionate call for more organic farming.
  He has just been made president of the Soil Association, which promotes the method.
  Last Thursday Mr Don, 52, announced he had stood down from the 麻豆官网首页入口鈥檚 Gardeners鈥� World to recover from a minor stroke.
  He said he was 鈥渞elieved鈥� not to have the 鈥渂urden鈥� of 12-hour days making television programmes, and added: 鈥淚 am pottering around and having a nice time.鈥�

  Thank you for your second reply. Yes, I know what it said in the papers. We all know what it said in the papers. We all know that Monty will not be returning to Gardeners World. But that does not mean that if he makes a full recovery he will not return to television. Paul Ogrady suffered two major heart attacks, but is back on our screens five days a week. Who's to say that monty won't return for a mini series at some stage? I for one haven't written Monty off, and I don't believe that Monty has written himself off yet either.
