I think he's doing a good job. I find him informative and practical and I think he has a warm on-screen presence.
I know there are some who disagree. I just wanted to balance things up a bit.
toby is not to bad, but there are several threads both praising and panning him.
And such a good name. Shirefolk, Brandybucks, Baggins, Gamwise and Buckland.
I enjoyed the whole program, quite like Toby
Nuff said. Joan
I was very sad when Monty had to leave GW. I remember all the posts saying how he did not hold a candle to previous presenters and now he has gone it is all praise. I am very much enjoying the new GW, no doubt there will be the usual complaints and if and when Toby goes we shall enter groundhog day!
I like Toby very much too. He reminds me a little of Geoff Hamilton, a bit earthy.
He's also gorgeous.
I really really like him!
Thank goodness. I don't like this back biting. Monty was not always my cup of tea, and sometimes used the switch which says on and off. I've been watching since Percy Thrower days.
Aaaah! Black and white!
The colours were so uniform
