I missed the first 30 minutes of this evening's Gardener's World, but having watched the final half hour can someone please tell me what is going on?

Call me stupid, but I actually expected to see some gardening. Instead, I got a lifestyle programme that featured a matey chat on comfy sofas, a DIY slot about how to buy things in reclaimation yards and saw holes in sheds.

Seriously, please give whoever thought this is what the gardener's world audience wanted their notice, and get back to telling us what to do in the garden, when and how.

And lastly, when I garden I don't put my stereo speakers on the windowsills and blast music out into the yard. So why do the few minutes of the programme spent in the garden have to be accompanied by a disco soundtrack??

"...and saw holes in sheds." That really horrified me! Buy a brand new shed, then bugger it up with a jigsaw, fill in the gaps with some tatty old windows (did he really say they were 40 quid? ) and some over-sized doors which are so big they will pull your arms out of your sockets if you try and open them on a windy day. Was it really cheaper to do that than to buy a shed complete with door and some windows ready fitted?
