What a fantastic person is Carol Klein? In my book she is the MOST fantastic person on TV at the moment, her vast amount of knowledge and enthusiasum are so infectious.
But best of all her down to earth nature her beaming smile and stunning looks make me feel so good, its just a shame we cant get her on the NHS, if we could, depression would surely be a thing of the past.
I absolutly love you Carol if your reading this.

By the way i'm the leader of the fan club.

How many others love Carol Too? ? ? She is one lady i'd love to meet and spend a day with, i'd feel like royalty in Carols company.
So now Autumn Watch is finished you have come on here to vent your spiel: Why don't you go back there and stay there:
Sorry I meant admiration! Isn't it annoying when people use the wrong word:

??? I'M VERY BAFFLED BY YOUR COMMENTS ABOVE ???
???????????????????????????????????????????????????
I totally agree and what a lovely programme Gardeners World could have been, with Carol at the helm.
Don't worry about it Marcus. You will find people may not agree with you and they may write things that you won't like reading. It shouldn't be like that but all of us have a right to our opinion and sometimes, some people may not like what we have to say. So let it go. Carol is liked by many and at the same time, people find her annoying as she keeps repeating 'really, really..' too many times.

There's NOT one thing I find annoying about Carol, She is absolutly FANTASTIC in every way.
Well there is one, and that is the fact she lives the opposite end of the country to me.
I wandered what had been said to upset someone, the post seemed to be quite harmeless. I too love watching Carol, mainly because I find her enthusiasm catching. She seems so down to earth, just like someone you would talk to over the garden wall. wish it were mine
Well if there's a CK fan club - please count me in too. Knowledgeable, passionate, positive and smiling CK. If I had the choice of spending a day in the garden with anyone, it would definitely be CK for me
Sorry, I'm going to upset the applecart now - I'm afraid I don't like CK when she's doing anything on GW, but then I don't like GW these days anyway (perhaps I'm going through a 'don't like anything' stage!). I can put up with her when she's doing the rounds in the marquees at the flower shows but that's about it. Sorry folks!

POSITIVE COMMENTS ONLY PLEASE
THANK YOU
"POSITIVE COMMENTS ONLY PLEASE
THANK YOU"
The phrase "Like a red rag to a bull" springs to mind Marcus dear. You will find that there are very few fluffy lambs on this board
I love Carol's enthusiasm and feel that she has a lot to offer the viewers. Although I can understand how others may find her annoying, I found that she came across as a little OTT in her recent special.

Anyone who is passionate about their subject is delightful to watch. My 15y old daughter does a wonderful impression of her, voice and all - which I'm sure CK would find sincerely hilarious!
Marcus, everybody is entitled to their opinion, positive or negative. We don't have to like or dislike person that everybody else seems to.
Memo to Carol - stay where you are!!

I understand fully that every one is entitled to their own opinion, AND RIGHTLY SO, but isn't there enough nastiness in the world without bring it to message boards where people want to learn, so i really think these wonderfull message boards are not the place for hurtfull remarks, about anyone.
I'm am, always have been and always will be a caring person, wheather that to people animals or plants.
I know i seem idealistic, but i am realistic and have a very broad and open mind.
I'd rather share care and kindness, than hate and hardship, it's much easier and if everyone was the same the world would be a better place.
CAROL KLEIN'S TOP NUMBER ONE FAN.
OOOOh
bit creepy eh, Carol?
From Monty's no one fan!
As you have such a broad and open mind, you should be able to accept that not everybody thinks the way you do. Sorry, but there it is!
When Carol first came on - she was styled by Zandra Rhodes but funded by Woolworths - though however bizarre she looked she certainly achieved notoriety! Especially when foiled against the ponderous Sarah Raven who I'm glad to see has been taken over by the National Trust and listed as an ancient building.
Since those far off days, I have warmed to Carol as a person because she has been calmed down somewhat on the back of being more relaxed on the account of the book royalities and endorsements that must be rolling in.
However, she seems to gain most patronage on these pages for her knowledge and horticultural competence - I must protest ! She may very well talk the talk but please - leave it at that Carol. Time and time again I've seen her whittering on about this or that lovely plant and when she has produce some cuttings or her own nursery stock it was of the quality I'd immediately dispatch to the compost heap.
.
Gardening "normal" Carol is obviously a very capable and knowledgeable gardening presenter.
Hyper, gushing, artificially over-enthusiastic Carol is bearable for 5 mins tops IMHO after that it grates and the presenter takes over the prime spot rather than the subject which should not be the objective or intention. I do not know if its "back room boys/girls fault" with am-drams misdirection or Carols wishes but spoils it every time for me.

5 Mins, is that all? 5 months wouldn't be enough for me, 5 years would be even better, and it would be great if it was 5 decades of FANTASTIC CAROL, and thats not putting to fine a point on it.

Isn't it great that we are all different and have different views of the same thing? So lets be positive about it rather than negative and life will be much enjoyable.
I like Carol too <>
Couldn't agree more sourthistle. I'm middle-aged I guess but I find young Toby v patronising and self-righteous at times. Carol's genuine love of actual gardening, getting her hands and clothes soiled, fills me with admiration. She might take the helm but I'm afraid she'd have to take on a team clearly in it for the fame & fortune. I love the way she so often admits that "this might not work" or that "it's failed for me sometimes" and humanises a bunch of perfect gardening robots who (with endless funds at their disposal) NEVER fail in their eyes. Ah, but could they actually do that in a small garden on a tight budget???

How about a bit more of Carol on our screens, it's a massive shame that she only has small sections of the program to present, the more of Carol we get the better i think.
